Seeking a Promotion

 I have been working at Ecolab as a Graduate Engineer for over 2 years. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that is has been an enriching experience working for Ecolab with the steep and vast learning curve, continuous support, and opportunities for me to develop my interpersonal, technical, and commercial skills throughout these years.

Over the last 2 years, I have achieved the following milestones at Ecolab

• Managed to deliver a successful business case resulting in the company to reduce chemical consumption by 25%, resulting in $120,000 cost savings annually. This project has showcased my strong initiative and self-motivation to make a positive contribution to the company and emphasises my continuous commitment to deliver results that adds value to Ecolab long-term.
• Worked alongside different departments from business managers, technical assistants, and marketing managers to launch Ecolab’s first environmental range. During this project I was commended by my seniors in providing valuable technical input throughout the product formulation process. My ability to communicate effectively across different management levels and departments are crucial qualities that reflects my capabilities in becoming a senior lead engineer where I can provide both technical and commercial perspectives to a project.
• Participated in project management training to further upskill my leadership skills in managing people and projects, improve my technique of achieving desired results on-time, within-budget and within the desired quality as well as to deliver projects smarter and effectively.

I am thankful for my manager who has supported me throughout the years, believed in my capabilities and has provided me with extensive opportunities to explore my hidden talents. I would like to also thank the team members of each project I have participated and contributed. It has been a fruitful journey and I have immensely learnt about each project and from each team members extensive knowledge.

Based on my successes in assisting and managing different projects, I am equipped to transition to the senior lead engineer position as I believe that I have developed the required competence to take up a more commercial and technical role within Ecolab, which will be highly beneficial to the company’s long-term interests as well.
